Thanks for the information on my last post of 'Help with Engine', was wondering if I can get
help again on the same subject.

I can get my hands on to a SR20DET engine now, looking to use this in the 720 ute.

Would anyone know how much work or hassle it is to put into the 720.

hi mate, i have fitted a sr20det into a 1200 ute so you shouldnt have any dramas puting into a 720

Dave although I can't offer any first hand info, I believe it can't be that difficult as it has been done a few times already in australia, unfortunately I can't find any references on the internet though.

You'd be looking at custom engine and gearbox mounts, and also maybe some minor gearbox tunnel adjustments as a minimum.

One thing, can you tell us what type of sump is currently on the L series, as in, does the bowl of the sump sit at the front or the rear of the motor?

As the SR is a frontward facing sump, so if that is the same as your 720, you are already on your way, if not, a custom sump is your other option which toby ^^^ (TJ RACE FABRICATIONS) can probably help you out with.
