For anyone with an "Ascot Green" 1600 (pale green), here's the required paint code.
I had difficulty tracking it down using the original Datsun code of "12011" on the paint code sticker on the rad support, eventually got it after discovering that VW's of the same years were painted the same colour (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Just use VW paint code 615 - this was the only code my local paint shop could find the formula for. Paint mixed to this code was a perfect match for the original factory Datsun paint on my car. If you scroll down to 1970 in this chart you can see it lists Ascot Green as both Dulux 12011 and VW 615. http://www.clubvw.org.au/colour_identification.htm |
